Turkey Burgers w/ Chili Onion Aioli
Little know fact… but burgers are a top tier meal prep choice! They actually reheat really well and who doesn’t love a good sando for lunch?
If you ask me, no meal is complete without a sauce, so of course we had to make a chili onion aioli to go with the burgers, but we added a little twist to lighten it up a bit!
Turkey Burgers & Chili Onion Aioli
Servings: 4
Ingredients
1lb ground turkey
1/2c ground corn flakes or gluten-free bread crumbs
1 egg, whisked
1/2tsp garlic powder
1/2tsp onion powder
1/2tsp sea salt
2tsps dried parsley
3Tbsps avocado oil mayo
1Tbsp plain greek yogurt
1/2 lemon, juiced
1Tbsp olive oil
1tsp chili crunchy onion oil from Trader Joe’s
Directions
Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
While the skillet is heating, mix together the ground turkey, cornflakes, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, sea salt, and parsley.
Form into 4 equal-sized patties.
Add about 1 Tbsp of avocado oil to the pan and allow to heat. Should only take about 20-30 seconds if your pan is hot.
Once hot, add your patties to the pan. Cook for 5-7 minutes on one side, flip, and cook for 5-7 minutes on the other side, or until the patty reaches an internal temp of 165 degrees farenheit.
While the patties cook, in a separate, medium-sized bowl, mix together the mayo, greek yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, and chili crunchy onion oil.
Once your burgers are done, place on a toasted burger bun, top with the chili onion aioli, and caramelized onions (optional), and enjoy!
